February is American Heart Month, a time to pay special attention to understanding, preventing, and treating heart disease — the leading cause of death in the nation.
This year, the 58th American Heart Month, the American Heart Association is urging people all over the country to “reclaim your rhythm.”
Heart disease has remained the leading health threat during the pandemic, and more people are reporting lower physical and emotional wellness.
All employees and medical providers were encouraged to wear and article of red clothing to show their commitment to Heart Health.
“As an assisted living program we are continuing to focus on preventative care and educating the residents on healthier lifestyles”’ says Lisa Vider, Administrator of Oceanview Manor Home for Adults. “The purpose of a day like this is also to remind ourselves, as healthcare providers and caregivers, that we must also take care of ourselves as well. I enjoyed the enthusiastic participation from all departments in the celebration day.”
Oceanview Manor Home for Adults will continue to celebrate Heart Month and continue to encourage all residents and staff to be “Heart Healthy”.
